Lauritz Christensen
"Lauritz Christensen, 55, a resident of Somers Township, Kenosha County, died at the Wisconsin General Hospital in Madison early Thursday following a long illness.  Mr. Christensen was born in Huring, Denmark, August 15, 1887, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Johannes Christensen.  He spent his early life and received his education in his native land, coming to America in 1907.  He came direct to Somers Township and made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Morton Rasmussen.
On March 8, 1911, Mr. Christensen was married to Sine Rasmussen.  Following his marriage, he took up farming and owned and operated the Christensen homestead in Somers Township for many years.  Mr. Christensen was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church in Racine.
Mr. Christensen is survived by his wife and by three sons, Clarence Christensen of Kenosha, Walter Christensen at home and Everett Christensen who is in the 82nd Division of the U.S. Army at Fort Bragg, N.C.  He also is survived by one brother, Paul Christensen of South Milwaukee, and by one brother and two sisters in Denmark.  One son, Morton Johannes Christensen, preceded him in death on September 5, 1918.

Mrs. James A. (Marie) Jensen
"Mrs. James A. Jensen, 85, died at her home in Somers Thursday night following a week's illness.  Mrs. Jensen, formerly Jepson, was born in Ingstrup, Denmark, July 26, 1856, and was married there to Mr. Jensen November 19, 1880.  In 1880, Mr. and Mrs. Jensen came to the United States.  For a short time they lived in Racine, after which they settled in Somers.  Survivors are four sons, Jacob of Piedmont, Mo., Erick and Chris A. of Somers, and Andres of Kenosha; two daughters, Mrs. Chris Peterson of State Line, and Mrs. John B. Wade of Kenosha; 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.  Her husband died July 19, 1940.  One son, Milton; a daughter, Rosalie, and two grandchildren, Jessie Jensen and Lelia Mae Jensen, also are dead.
Mrs. Jensen was a member of Victoria Lodge, Danish Sisterhood of Racine.  Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Hansen Funeral Home, Kenosha.  Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Somers.

James A. Jensen
James A. Jensen of Somers died at 11:45 a.m. today, July 19, 1940,  after a lingering illness.  He was born in Denmark July 1, 1858 and came to America with his wife and four children fifty-three years ago.  After living in Racine a few years, the family moved to Somers.
Survivors are his wife, two daughters Mrs. Chris Peterson of State Line, Wisconsin and Mrs. John Wade of Kenosha.  Four sons, Erick and Chris A. of Somers, Jacob of Poplar Bluff, MO, and Andrew of Kenosha.  A daughter and son preceded Mr. Jensen's death.
