Levi Bush
Levi Bush owns and operates a good farm of eighty acres on Section 20, Somers Township, Kenosha County, conveniently and pleasantly situated about two miles from Somers Station.  He is truly a self-made man for by his own efforts, he has acquired his present desirable property.  His home has all the modern improvements; the dwelling is a neat and substantial one and in keeping with it are all the other necessary buildings.  He also has a good orchard in which are fruits of all varieties that supply his table plentifully in their season.
A native of Cortland County, N.Y., Mr. Bush was born on the 24th of May, 1835.  His parents, Simon and Nellie Bush, are mentioned in the sketch of William R. Bush on another page of this work.  The educational advantages of our subject were limited and to his father he gave the benefit of his labors upon the farm until twenty years of age.  In the county of  is nativity, in his twenty-first year he wedding Miss Sally Wilcox, who was also born in Cortland County, and is a daughter of one of the farmers of that county, Benjamin P. Wilcox.  Their union was celebrated September 25, 1855; and unto them has been born one son - Emery D., who now aids his father in the operations of the home farm.  Emory married in the Town of Somers, June 24, 1891, the lady of his choice being Amelia, daughter of Abram Ozanne, one of the thrifty agriculturists of the Town of Somers.
The year 1856 witnessed the arrival of Mr. Bush and his wife in Wisconsin.  He joined his brother William in Kenosha County and for several years lived upon a rented farm.  When by industry, economy and good management he had accumulated a sufficient sum of money he made purchased of eighty acres of land and upon that farm he has since resided.  Mr. Bush was a member of the Methodist Church.

Emory Bush
Emory Bush, who carries on general agricultural pursuits on Section 20, Somers, Township, has always lived in this locality so that his life history is well known to his fellow citizens, but he is willing that they should hae knowledge of his acts for he has even been upright and honorable and in his life record there is nothing to conceal.  In fact his friends, and they are many, speak of him in terms of warm regard.
Mr. Bush was born May 26, 1866, a son of Levi and Sally (Wilcox) Bush, who were natives of the state of New York, where they resided until 1850 and then came to Wisconsin, settling in Kenosha County.  Levi Bush purchased eighty acres of land upon which he lived until his death.
Emory Bush was reared amid the refining influences of a good Christian home.  He attended the common schools to the age of fifteen years, after which he gave his entire attention to the work of the home farm, assisting his father in the development and improvement of the place until the latter's death, when he inherited the land.  He has put  many modern improvements upon the farm, including eleven hundred rods of tile, which has drained the land and added much to its productiveness.  his place is now a valuable property and returns to him a golden tribute for the care and cultivation which he annually bestows upon it.
On the 26th of June, 1891, Mr. Bush married Miss Amelia Ozanne, a daughter of Abraham and Sophia Ozanne.  They have become the parents of one child, Edna, who married Mathias Uelmen of northern Wisconsin, but they are now residing in Somers and have one child, Dorothy.
